Heavy Duty Mechanics are required for our Open Pit Copper Mine. The operation is located 20km from Princeton, BC located in south central British Columbia’s Similkameen Country approximately 3.5 hours by road east of Vancouver, BC.
The successful candidates will be required to perform mechanical preventative maintenance and repairs working in the Shop and Field locations. The Heavy Duty Mechanic shall be required to work safely with multiple trades in a production environment. The qualified candidates will need experience in the mining industry, be self starters and be able to work with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
Applicants must have Certified Heavy Duty Mechanic Trades Qualification. Previous experience working on Komatsu equipment; 830E Haul Trucks, D375 Dozers and Cat 16M Graders and support equipment is a definite asset and/or Heavy Duty Mechanics/Certified Millwrights with PC8000/PC2000 shovel and 271/351 Pit Viper drill experience. Experience including diesel engine repairs, trouble shooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems, suspension, brakes and steering adjustment or repairs, track and tire mobile equipment maintenance, lubrication and repairs.
Compensation
