Maintenance Manager – Relocation to Northwestern Ontario
The successful Maintenance Manager candidate will report directly to the General Manager and will be a key member of the Operations Management team. The incumbent is responsible for overseeing all phases of operational maintenance for the operation and developing and implementing maintenance programs to support the successful development of the project.
This includes managing all mine equipment and process plant maintenance; promoting a safe, positive and productive workplace by providing leadership and continuity to all staff; coordinating with other departments and regulators to optimize efficiencies and ensure compliance with all Provincial and Federal standards; recommending and implementing measures to improve safety and production performance; and ensuring all maintenance activities are performed safely by taking a proactive approach to implementing safe work practices and procedures to effectively manage risks associated with maintenance work.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Qualified candidates have senior level operations and maintenance experience for surface and underground mining as well as plant processing equipment.
· The ideal candidate has 10+ years’ experience in a leadership position responsible for maintenance activities
· Skills in budgeting and finance, business and communications.
· A proven leadership capability in managing employees in creating a dynamic, self-accountable workforce who all feel a part of the success of the project.
