Plant Maintenance Supervisor

Our client is currently seeking a Plant Maintenance Supervisor to join their team. This individual will be responsible for the quality and quantity of work performed by their department. They will also oversee and direct the job training, safety, and labour relations within the maintenance group.
Responsibilities of the Plant Maintenance Supervisor include:
Responsible for planning and implementing a sound preventive maintenance program
Administer the company’s controlled maintenance program in his or her section as per corporate policy
Recommend equipment and process modifications to improve efficiencies
Take part in providing assistance for capital project plan preparation
Ensure that work, standards, policies, plans and procedures are maintained
Apply the plant site environmental policy with special emphasis on waste disposal
Handle discipline and first step grievances
Sit on joint Health Safety Committee and attend meetings
Coordinate work with outside contractors and suppliers when required
Maintain control of plant small tool & equipment as per corporate policy and procedure
Participate in the organization’s "Repair Parts Inventory Plan"
Requirements for the Plant Maintenance Supervisor position include:
A minimum of 3 to 5 years in a similar role; supervisory experience is paramount
Previous experience within an industrial setting/heavy industry is required
Must be bilingual in French and English
