With operational sites in Queensland and across Australia, this mining house ensures strategic forward planning approaches are taken to its mining methods. This mining house situated in the north Queensland Area is currently expanding and consequently requires an experienced Plant Metallurgist.
Reporting into the Process Manager you will be responsible for providing technical support to the operations and maintenance management team. This will also include evaluating, developing and progress various metallurgical projects to help increase reconciliation. Support and advance critical equipment design, including mill linings, flotation cells, magnetic separators, thickeners, filters and sampling systems will be a major component of this. Having excellent communication skills you will consult with Geologists and Mining Engineers on short and medium term mine plans in order to optimise plant performance.
To be successful in this role you will need Tertiary qualifications in minerals processing, extractive metallurgy, and chemical engineering or similar. It is essential that you demonstrated experience within flotation cells combined with a comprehensive understanding of metallurgical process optimisation.
