Urgent Role
I am working on behalf of a leading international Mining Consultancy to source a highly experienced Principal Mining Engineer (Open Pit) to join their team Kazakhstan.
The Principal Mining Engineer (Open Pit) is required to take a senior leadership role as part of the Mining Services Group.
You will be responsible for:
• Open Pit mine planning and engineering studies for a range of commodities for projects in throughout the world.
• Dump design and optimization studies
• Mine design, optimization and scheduling
• Reserve evaluations, production schedule, mine equipment and economic evaluation audits, reviews and due diligence studies for mining projects
• Working with other Principal Mining Engineers to make the best use of shared resources and ensuring that an integrated approach to studies is carried out; Liaison with clients, including writing of proposals;
• Developing new business opportunities in the area of Open Pit mining; Leadership of project teams on consulting assignments;
Requirements:
• To be successful in this role you must obtain a relevant qualification in mining or equivalent
• Experience in open pit mining
• Previous consultancy experience is a must
• IMMM / AusIMM membership
• Experience working with a variety of commodities
• Competent report writing skills
• Competent in using Mining Software e.g. Vulcan and Surpac
• Previous experience within Kazakhstan
• Language – Fluent English and Kazakh is an advantage
