Principal Resource Geologist

I am working on behalf of an international mining consultancy to source a Principal Resource Geologist for their office in Moscow Russia.
The position will involve leading teams on a wide range of projects and commodities, including feasibility and due diligence mandates.
The role will also involve –
• Working as part of multi-discipline teams to provide world-class project development studies
• Signing off mineral resources
• Managing projects including the creation of geological models
• Auditing Russian and International resource estimates
• Working in multi-disciplinary teams on a wide range of global projects and commodities
• Including feasibility studies and due diligence mandates
• Preparing resource estimates for a range of different geological environments
• Training and developing a team of geologists
• Acting as Project Manager on studies, assisting with project management and logistical arrangements of often large projects involving a number of sub-consultants
• Business development, including the generation of business from new and existing clients
The ideal candidate should have knowledge of international Mineral Resource and Reserve Reporting Codes. Competence in one or more software packages such as Datamine, Surpac, Gemcom, Micromine or Vulcan. Experience of signing off on Mineral Resource estimations as a Competent / Qualified person. Previous consulting experience is crucial, combined with business development skills and the ability to actively locate new business opportunities plus possess a strong network of contacts.
Compensation
There is a highly competitive salary package including accommodation allowance, discretionary bonus and employee share participation and also assistance with relocation.
