BGC's Edmonton office is seeking an experienced senior geotechnical or geological engineer. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, a minimum of 10-15 years relevant work experience, the ability to manage multi-disciplined project teams working in remote, challenging environments, and a desire to occasionally travel and work in remote conditions.
Candidates shall possess an undergraduate degree in civil, geological or mining engineering. A post-graduate degree in one of the aforementioned engineering fields is desirable. A strong understanding of geotechnical engineering, engineering geology as well as proven communications skills are essential; an understanding of rock mechanics and hydrogeology is desirable. Project management skills and a willingness to supervise and mentor junior staff are also necessary. Proven communication skills (English) are essential and Spanish language skills would be an asset. Candidates must be eligible for registration in Alberta as a Professional Engineer.
Work Locations
Edmonton, Alberta, with projects situated throughout the Americas, Africa, Asia and Australia.
