Reports to 
Principal Geotechnical Engineer

Specialist skills required
· Demonstrated ability in geotechnical investigation, analysis and design.

· Experience in both open pit and underground mining environments.

· Competent user of mining software.

· Competent user of numerical modelling software e.g. MAP3D, PHASE2, EXAMINE3D.

· Sound interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.

· Superior written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications required
· Degree in geotechnical, geological, civil or mining engineering with higher qualification in geotechnical engineering highly desirable.

· Membership of an industry recognised professional organisation.
