Job Skill Requirements:

Education: Completion of university

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association

Job Experience: 5 years or more

Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English

Area of Specialization: Geophysical, Geotechnical, Geological, Petroleum or natural gas, Minerals and coal

Work Experience: Design, Project management, Project planning, Installation, maintenance and inspection of equipment or facilities, Research and development, Operations or production, Quality assurance or control, Specification or technical writing

Work Setting: Engineering consulting company

Specific Skills: Develop and co-ordinate programs of geotechnical, geological, geophysical or geohydrological data acquisition, analysis and mapping, Prepare recommendations and reports for the construction or improvement of civil engineering projects, Conduct studies of groundwater flow and contamination, Develop and conduct studies in mining exploration, mine evaluation and feasibility studies, Conduct surveys and studies of ore deposits and mine design, Develop and implement computer applications for geophysics, geochemistry, geology and mapping

Additional Skills: Supervise technologists, technicians and other engineers and scientists

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Day
