A very rare opportunity has become available within a highly sought after industry. A local Darwin company with a national mining presence is currently seeking a Bookkeeper to join their central team. The Bookkeeper is responsible for Accounts Payable and Receivable, account reconciliations, payroll for approximately 30 people and general ledger entries. There will also be an expectation to perform any other ad ho duties when required such as answering phones, making bookings for FIFO staff etc.
As the chosen candidate you will have proven experience in the full accounting process up to trial balance. You MUST have a minimum of 5 years experience using MYOB software. Payroll is an important function of this role and so experience in superannuation and salary withholding tax will be highly desirable. You will have an outgoing and friendly personality and be able to work effectively as part of a small team. This client is looking for a long term commitment.
