Company Overview
Our client is a publicly listed gold mining company, based in North America.
The Company is a near term production company, run by a very experienced technical and senior management team.
The Company is looking for a very experienced CEO, who is able to bring the flagship project – back into production during 2011.
This position will report in to the CEO of the Group of Companies, to which this company currently belongs.
The position will be based in Vancouver, Canada and will require travel to the mine site on a fairly regular basis.
Responsibilities:
• Full responsibility for overseeing the process of construction; permitting the plant and fine tuning the mill. The ability to run a fully producing mine will be essential.
• Managing an excellent team of experienced technical people and mentoring them to perform to their highest potential.
• Building and enhancing a team to take the company from a near-term producer to producing at full capacity.
• Raising capital on an on-going basis. Experience in this area and a sound track record of success is required.
• Developing a solid network of contacts with Bankers; Brokers; Analysts and Investors to advance the profile of the company.
Qualifications:
• A Mining Engineering Degree
• Solid experience in running/operating a gold producing mine.
• Ability to lead a team from exploration through to production and then being able to take production to a new level.
• Must have underground mining experience
• Ability and experience working in remote locations
• Experience with Capital Markets and the ability to raise finance.
