We are partnered with a distinguished gold mining company that has an operating mine as well as several late stage exploration projects. Due to company growth, we are currently assisting in the search for a Chief Geologist to maximize ore quality and increase production. Reporting directly to the Technical Services Manager, you will be responsible for the support and development of the Geology Department and staff

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Coordinate all production geology, grade control, and drilling
• Following best practices and ensure all geology systems and procedures are maintained
• Interface with Mining, Process and Maintenance departments to ensure success of open pit mining and processing operations.
• Contribute to strategic planning and budgeting efforts
• Supervising the department’s implementation of Health, Safety and Environment programs

To be considered for this role, it is crucial for you to demonstrate the following:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Geology
• 10 + years’ experience within a metalliferous environment
• Strong resource assessment and modeling (including 3-D) skills
• Practical experience with relevant software including MineSight, Vulcan and Acquire
• Previous management experience
