A Leading Mining Operator is recruiting for a Chief Geophysicist - Geologist to work on a major iron ore mining project in Kazakhstan.
As Chief Geophysicist - Geologist you will be managing all types of prospect, hydrogeological and geophysical works of the project. It will be your responsibility to ensuring the compliance with legislation and company politics on Health & Safety and mining operations.
Your Main Accountabilities will be:
Manage prospect, hydrogeological, geophysical works and geological service of prospect mining and operational works.
Provide the processing, generalization of materials investigations, operation and updating of geological maps.
To draw conclusions on prospecting developments, and also the geological conclusions for construction in the territory.
Participate in development of standards of losses and impoverishments of minerals at production, actions for protection of a subsoil, rational use of raw materials, and also in write-off not confirmed or lost the industrial value on mining and economic conditions of balance stocks of the project.
To carry out the methodical management of geological services of all divisions of the project.
The successful candidate will have at least 5 years experience in a senior/specialist position as a Geologist/Geophysicist in a geological research or mining organisation. A mining/engineering related qualification (preferably geological) is also required. It is also preferable that you speak Russian.
