Employment Qualifications: 

·        10-15 years of extensive engineering and project experience

·        Must hold a valid Ontario Professional Mining Engineer License

·        5+ years CANADIAN experience with underground and open pit mine engineering

·        Must have experience in MCF ,Long Hole and Narrow vein mining

·        Proficient with computer software , Amine , Autocad, Excel, Power point, Gemcom

·        Proven supervisory experience in mining industry

·        Understanding of business affairs within the mining industry an asset

·        Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and presentation skills

·        The capability to work positively with a team of professional and technical people in a changing, creative and energetic environment

Expected Roles and Responsibilities: 

• Plan and schedule the long and short term design of the open pit and underground mines
• Lead a team of Engineers and Technicians in all aspects of mine engineering
• Collaborate on special projects with other mine departments and corporate executives
• Design and maintain mine ventilation and ground support
• Oversee health and safety requirements in the engineering department
• Work together with other mine departments to form open pit and underground mine design plans
• Provide counsel on open pit and underground ore reserve estimation
• Impact cost effectiveness through monitoring of operating, production and labour costs
