Crusher Operator / Supervisor (Mine Operations)

Summary: Our client is a very well regarded small privately held company. We are helping them to identify a Crusher Operator for their operations in Eastern Idaho. This individual will safely operate machines that convey, wash, crush and screen aggregates.

The Crusher Operator will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

• Safely and properly operate crusher, screen and wash plant.
• Perform maintenance on screen and wash plant – including screen changes.
• Perform daily site inspection to identify any unsafe working conditions and rectify where appropriate.
• Supervise other employees such as loader operators, maintenance and ground personnel when needed.
• Troubleshoot and problem solve any issues with material quality, equipment operation etc.
• Work with other managers/supervisors to ensure that aggregate material is produced to plan specifications.

Qualifications/Experience etc:

• Minimum of five years’ progressive experience in mining and/or quarrying.
• A general knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
• A diverse background in crushing equipment operations.
• Able to identify appropriate material to produce quality aggregate material as per job specifications.
• Proven experience handling multiple projects and priorities whilst maintain tight deadlines.
• Demonstrate, by example, a commitment to working safely.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Highly organized with good attention to detail.
