Aerotek is currently seeking experienced individuals for an Electric Rope Shovel Operator position. The hiring company is a leading mining company located near Winnemucca, Nevada.
The Shovel Operator is responsible for safe and efficient operation of electric rope shovels; PH 2800 and 4100, Cat/Bucyrus 495. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, demonstrating knowledge of all components, gauges, switches, and has read operation manual to understand machine, communicating to all other operators in her/his area of environment changes, and must be receptive to all training guidelines and must know ore control flagging, identify work area hazards.
Applicants must have five-ten years previous experience as a Shovel Operator at a surface mine.
Compensation
This is a contract-to-hire position. Compensation for this position starts at $30 per hour as well as $55 per diem per day. This is a rotating shift. This position offers benefits which includes medical, dental, optical, and optional 401k.
