Electrical Engineer (Engineering)

Our client is seeking an Electrical Engineer for the mine in Ontario, Canada.

  •         Planning, design, procurement and management of various projects
  •         Maintain data and specifications of installed mine electrical equipment and ensure parts data in E1 are accurate
  •         Troubleshooting electrical and control systems as required
  •         Assist Electricians and Electrical Engineer with fault finding during breakdowns
  •         Owner of mine monitoring and control systems management and back-up (PLC, HMI, and Historian)
  •         Set-up and maintenance of power monitoring systems
  •         Assist engineering department personnel as required
  •         Filing and maintenance of engineering drawings and documents
  •         Working with mine personnel as required to become familiar with the operation and maintenance of mine equipment

Requirements:

Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent listening skills. Ability to read, interpret and analyze general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and business correspondence

  •         Planning/ Organizing: Ability to organize schedules, establish priorities and complete project work and assignments in a timely manner
  •         Follows instructions, responds to management direction, keeps commitments
  •         Ability to work with mathematical functions related to engineering discipline and concepts
  •         Demonstrates an academic understanding of basic technical principles, theories and concepts within the discipline
  •         Days, must be willing to work additional hours
  •         An accredited university degree in Electrical Engineering is required
  •         Eligibility for registration as an EIT with APEO Co-Op work experience
  •         Fluency in English is required
