Global mineral company is seeking a proactive EH&S Manager to serve as focal point for US operations, permitting, and other environmental initiatives.
Need an EHS manager with strong Environmental knowledge.
Raw Mineral Processing Industry experience required!
Experience in Title V, MSHA & Regulatory Management of mineral mining and processing operations experience are a MUST.
EHS Manager position responsibilities:
- Increasing program effectiveness thru expansion & training of onsite teams
- Monitor leading and lagging indicators to detect performance trends
- Reviews incidents and audit findings to determine and resolve root cause
- Develop a strong Environmental culture
- Drive program improvements toward 100% compliance
- Ensure that effective tools, systems and policies are in place
- Meet internal & regulatory requirements
- Lead by example; work in matrix environment; develop multilevel partnerships
- Member & contributor to global EH&S Leadership Team
- Develop and Lead Environmental professionals
Requirements:
- Degree in regulatory or related engineering discipline
- Five or more years EH&S experience
- Verifiable interpersonal skills
- Strong skills in Decision Making; Consensus Building; Strategic Planning; Managing Projects; Team Building
- Ability to anticipate internal and external issues that may impact operations and prepare to mitigate risk
- Effective verbal & writing skills to present ideas and concepts to diverse audiences from Board to plant level
Location: USA’s Southern Gulf coast area
Compensation
Salary: $90,000 - $110,000
