Exploration Geologist

An exciting opportunity exists for an Exploration Geologist to work for a global mining house with operations across Africa.
Based in Mali, the Exploration Geologist will be responsible for all facets of geology from exploration, resource definition planning through to extraction.
Responsibilities include:
- overseeing the production and development of a large site
- managing and developing grade control procedures
- metallurgical performance issues and resource evaluation programs
- involvement in project planning and supervise the geology team
Requirements Include:
- Must have at least 10-15 years experience in Exploration
- Including at least 5-10 years in West Africa, if he/she has some experience of Mali it is better.
- Ideally be Bilingual French / English but it is not compulsory
- Software: ArcGis or Mapinfo - Ideally with 3D capability (Surfpac/ Gemcom/Leapfrog)
- Good management skills.
- Certified Geologist / ideally QP registered.
Compensation
Salary to be around 140,000 USD net (Neg) Plus Bonus, ex pat benefits, FIFO arrangement. 1 year contract first. Possibility of renewel / going permanent
