For our International Mining Client in Francophone Africa we are looking for:

French speaking CFO – Residential Status

The successful candidate will take the full ownership of in country finance and administration functions.

Additional Responsibilities:
• Directing and reviewing periodic (monthly and annual) financial statements for submission to management, and presentation of financial statements at board meetings and annual general meetings.
• Ensuring accurate and timely recording and reporting of operating results.
• Overseeing the preparation of budgets and forecasts and preparation of long term planning together with the CFO
• Ensuring maintenance of general accounting, cost accounting, payroll, payables and receivables.
• Coordinating with internal auditors to identify significant gaps in internal control systems and take corrective actions to ensure compliance with SOX.
• Ensuring compliance with local tax rules, meeting with government representatives over tax issues and others.
• Liaising with external authorities
• Implementing and administering established accounting policies, procedures and practices.

Experience and Skill Set Requirements:
• Formal professional designation in appropriate area of expertise (CPA, CA, ACCA).
• 10 + years of related expat finance work experience at a senior management level.
• Experience managing senior employees.
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting, materials management, warehousing and procurement.
• Fluency in French is a must.
