Design Group Staffing Montreal is currently hiring for a Heavy Duty Mechanic in Atlantic Canada.  A chance to work in a beautiful area of our great country! 

Accountabilities:

• Ensure effective operation of various mine equipment by maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing components where required and to carry out all duties in a safe and efficient manner
• Repair and perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical maintenance on various equipment
• Maintain shop tools (such as hydraulic press, industrial parts or pressure washer, air compressors, scissor lifts, forklifts, etc.)
• Rebuild and repair various components

Requirements:

• College Diploma as a Heavy Duty Mechanic; Red Seal Interprovincial certification an absolute must
• A minimum of 2 (two) years of related experience in a heavy industrial environment
• Experience with SAP or similar CMMS system
• Experience working on various equipment; rock trucks, shovels, excavators, etc.
• Valid driver’s license
