We are currently seeking a Temporary Jr. Environmental Coordinator at our Seabee Operation to work from May to October 2015.
Jr. Environmental Coordinator (Temporary) Position
The successful candidate:
· Collects surface water, groundwater, waste rock and industrial wastewater samples;
· Contributes to regulatory reporting and internal company reporting;
· Performs site inspections to ensure compliance with federal and provincial acts and regulations;
· Monitors and maintains environmental sampling equipment;
· Advocates for environmental awareness within the company.
The successful candidate will be working towards or have recently completed their environmental diploma or undergraduate science degree (e.g. Biology, Environmental Science). Previous experience in the mining industry and an awareness of applicable federal and provincial acts and regulations are assets, as are a valid driver’s license, pleasure craft license and standard first aid & CPR training. Computer skills are required, including knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Office; experience with GIS Arcmap would be considered an asset.
All candidates must demonstrate strong leadership, communication and problem solving skills. A positive and proactive attitude toward safety is essential. Duties will be conducted with strict adherence to Claude Resources Inc.’s policies and procedures.
The work rotation will be one week in, one week out. The Seabee Operation is a fly-in camp with flights from La Ronge, Prince Albert, Flin Flon and Saskatoon.
