As a Maintenance Manager, you will oversee the Maintenance of base camp and in addition, all of the satellite operations in Fort McMurray.  Your duties will include;

The Role:

• Leading a team of maintenance staff;
• Ensuring mechanical availability targets are met;
• Ensuring training, mentoring and coaching of key maintenance personnel;
• Communicating regularly with all maintenance technicians and ensuring good two-way communication for any issues that arise;
• Tracking, analyzing and improving key maintenance parameters;
• Communicating with the operations department to coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas;
• Ensuring operations are aware of the equipment availability; and
• Administering programs such as employee improvement plans and records.

 

The Candidate

Applicants for this role must have the following:

·         Post-secondary diploma or a Journeyman trade certification;

·         An Undergraduate degree would be preferable;

·         8 years’ minimum experience in occupation;

·         Strong working knowledge of safe work practices;

·         Ability to think logically and strategically and analyze complex problems;

·         Comfortable working with a computerized maintenance management system.
