Our client, a well-known engineering and manufacturing firm focused on the mining and heavy-industrial industries, has engaged Lincoln Strategic to recruit a Manager, Business Development for their Sudbury-area team.

Reporting to the VP Operations, you will be responsible for two primary deliverables: i) developing and executing sales/marketing, revenue growth and client retention strategies that consistently grow market share, and ii) maintaining a high performance sales and customer service culture through staffing, training, coaching and leading a team of sales and account professionals.

Specifically, you will:

        Develop and implement strategic plans for the sales and marketing function.

        Manage sales department activities and ensure alignment with corporate revenue goals and profit objectives. Monitor performance of Sales Representatives, prepare annual performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.

        Develop and maintain senior level client relationships

        Manage and develop marketing programs and materials such as advertising, event support and online promotions.

        Assist sales personnel with customer follow-up and involved in the resolution of customer satisfaction complaints; determining customer needs and evaluating customer satisfaction.

        Maintaining effective communication between sales personnel, the company at large and management

        Identify and set short and long term sales strategies consistent with company vision, mission and strategic plans

        Coordinate sales distribution by establishing sales territories, forecasting and goals

        Coach dealers, distributors, and sales reps. concerning high performance solution sales and advertising techniques.

        Analyze sales statistics to formulate policy and to assist dealers, distributors, and sales representatives in promoting sales

        Review market analysis to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules and discount rates

Requirements:

        Solid track record of success as a Sales/BD Manager, ideally in a mining/heavy industrial supplier.

        Willingness/ability to live and work in the Greater Sudbury area.

        Depth of understanding of multiple trade disciplines.

        University Degree or College Diploma in business, marketing and/or sales

        Certified Sales Profession Designation
