Our client is seeking a Mine Controller to be an active member of the management team responsible for all facets of the mines financial systems. This position will report to the Mine Manager and CFO.
Responsibilities:
- Manages month, quarter, and year end closing;
- Provides monthly analysis of operating costs;
- Ensures internal control systems are maintained and followed;
- Assists in development of mine budgets and forecasts;
- Manages a team of accounting and warehousing personnel;
- Serves as main contact for Corporate Controller;
- Manages quarterly reviews and annual audits.
Requirements:
The incumbent will have a professional designation, or a combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities commensurate to a professional designation. Experience in the mining industry is a definite asset. Good knowledge of IFRS and internal controls.
