Mine Floater (Mine Operations)

We are currently seeking an Underground Mine Floater.

Reporting to the Underground Supervisor, our Underground Miners are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of underground mining equipment such as: remote mucking scoops, electric 1- and 2 boom electric jumbos, 2- and 3-boom air and hydraulic jumbos and jackleg and stoper drills for sill and stope.

This position will be considered a “floater” position, the ideal candidate must have experience in all aspects of underground mining (an all-around miner). Depending on what needs to be done, the candidate may be working in different areas of the mine, on different equipment as needed.

The ideal candidates will have proven work experience in an underground hardrock mine. All candidates must demonstrate a commitment to safety. Strong leadership, communication and management skills are essential.

The work rotation will be two weeks in, two weeks out, working 10-hour shifts. The Seabee mine is a fly in camp with flights coming from La Ronge, Prince Albert, Flin Flon, and Saskatoon.
