A Leading Mining Operator is recruiting for a Mining Manager with operational site planning experience to work on a major Iron Ore mining project in Kazakhstan.
You must speak English & Russian fluently.
You will be an experienced Manager in the Mining sector in this region.
You will be able to design and implement core Long Term Mine Planning and Design processes for all regional Iron Ore and Coal Mines, providing all needed information to support the creation of optimal mine designs, allowing them to fulfil the production/budget targets whilst maximizing the value of the mineral inventory.
With an emphasis on underground longwall coal mining in high gas and complex geological conditions. You must have experience of working in Kazakhstan/Russia.
The Mining Manager will be responsible for the following:
Develop and maintain updated the long term life mine plan.
Optimize pit and underground design, schedules and haulage network, ensuring planning procedures and standards are applied to meet future product specification.
Assure proper technical services criteria and operational best practices and innovation are applied.
Coordinate and support the internal reporting of mineral reserves and reconciliation of the mines.
Implement best practice Mine Planning and Operation standards across sites.
Implement best practice Reserve Estimation standards across sites
Be an effective interface between site and corporate by aligning Mine Planning systems.
Design, develop and implement capability tools to assist other leaders in their Mine Planning practices
Liaise in a professional manner with the Mining Management Team, consultants and other groups as required
Education/Experience:
Higher professional (technical) education.
Work experience in senior positions in the Iron Ore/Coal sector in Russia/Kazakhstan
Fluent in English & Russian.
