The successful candidate will take responsibility for the survey control for the mine site and carry out surveys for construction and pit operations whilst complying with safety, environmental and statutory regulations and standards.
This first class opportunity will be residential on a Monday to Friday roster and will suit a Mine Surveyor with a minimum of 5 years Mine Site experience, preferably open pit who is looking for a new challenge with this true employer of choice.
Key duties and attributes for this role will include but are not limited to:
- Survey control of the mine site and the maintenance of all survey equipment;
- Surface and pit wall prism monitoring;
- Carrying out surveys for construction and pit operations;
- The maintenance of all survey equipment;
- Surface and pit wall prism monitoring;
- Ensuring all OH & S standards are being met on a day to day basis while on site;
- Carrying out detail pit surveys for end of month volumes and reporting;
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Mine Surveying;
- Experience with various mining software such as Surpac and/or Vulcan;
- Proficiency with Trimble and/or other surveying equipment;
- A valid driver’s licence;
- Previous open pit experience will be highly desirable;
- A professional attitude and the ability to work as part of a team as well as autonomously when required; and
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
