The Canadian branch (AACN) of Alan Auld Engineering (AAE), a UK based Consulting firm specializing in deep mine shaft lining design.
We are looking for an experienced Mining Engineer (EIT) to add to our growing organization in Saskatoon. Experience in shaft engineering and construction is required. A minimum BEng degree in Mining Engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution is also required. This is a permanent position in our Saskatoon Office with some travel required.
Duties:
• Shaft liner design, shaft inspections
• Project Management, estimating and writing proposals
Academic Requirements and Experience:
• A minimum BEng degree in Mining Engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution
• A minimum of four (4) years’ experience working in a shaft sinking environment
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• A background in Mine Engineering and Shaft Sinking.
• Strong communication, planning and organizational skills are essential
• Knowledge of AutoCad, MS Project, Office and Hard Dollar
• Must have a valid driver’s license as well as a clean drivers abstract
The parent company Alan Auld Engineering is based in the UK and has a long history of underground structural design internationally. Many of the shafts in Canada were designed by Alan Auld. Compensation
Alan Auld Canada offers a competitive salary of approx. $70,000 to $100,000 based on experience, and an attractive benefits package. Remuneration will be commensurate with experience and education. Preference will be for applicants with EIT status.
