Located in a stunning part of British Columbia, close to a major city, a Canadian mining company is looking for a Mining Engineer to join their team as a major new project is developed. This role will form a critical part of the engineering team that will secure the company’s growth for the next 20 years.
Working closely with mine management, the Mining Engineer will have a broad range of responsibilities that include planning and design, as well as overseeing the production levels. During the construction phase, the Mining Engineer will work with external consultancies to ensure that the proposed plans are executed on the ground and that the key construction targets are met. This role offers the opportunity to manage various aspects of the projects and become an instrumental part of the construction of a new mining operation. This is a unique opportunity to develop your management skills and work towards becoming a senior leader within the business.
To be suitable for this role you will have between five and ten years of mining experience and be eligible or have your P.Eng in British Columbia. You will be comfortable with mine planning and design and be a pro-active leader who is looking to take on increasing levels of responsibility. In this position you will be expected to work autonomously and be prepared to plan, manage and shape the future of this mine. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a commitment to completing a project of this nature and a willingness to lead within the business.
Compensation
$90,000 - $120,000
