Our client is a leader in the coal mining industry and with a recent decision to run the mine with an owners team, as such an experienced Mining Engineer is required. They are looking to bring someone on board with highly developed technical, software and interpersonal skills to be based on site to play a pivotal role in the development of the mine.
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager your duties will include:
- Delivery of short to medium term mine planning activities
- Monitoring and input into short and medium term schedules
- Delivery of the drill and blast technical requirements
- Achieve optimal performance with a focus on improving efficiency
- Review of poor performance
- End of month reporting
To be successful in this position you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering
- 3 – 5 years in an Open cut mining environment in the Mine Planning team
- Effective time management
- Mine software capability such as Vulcan, Xpac, 3D-Dig
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
