Mining PSSR Manager (Maintenance & Trades)

The Mining PSSR Manager is managing and coaching the PSSR team in their efforts to maximise mining customer satisfaction and acceptance for JA DELMAS & MANUTENTION AFRICAINE MALI  Parts and Service products.

He has prime responsibility to develop and grow parts and service business through the development and execution of  marketing programmes aimed at increasing  DCAL as well as improving profitability of parts and service sales.

The Manager makes sure the PSSRs  maintain and develop contact with major & strategic customers marketing and selling Caterpillar and Expanded Products parts products and services to the Customer by identifying, developing and implementating customer specific sales and marketing strategies.

The initiatives are aimed at assisting users in achieving lower operating cost by acting as consultants, recommending Service Product options and appropriate product support programs.

The Manager is the prime contact with MA Mali for all matters pertaining to parts: logistics, pricing, marketing programmes as well as for service options offered and sold to end users.

In addition the PSSR Manager ensures market intelligence (competitive pricing, Customer machine fleet Sizing, demand patterns etc) is collected and shared with Parts department, Service Department, CRC, Mining Division Service and Caterpillar and other suppliers.

The Mining PSSR manager will also support the prime product sales team based at HQ when machines sales opportunities will arise in the country in contributing to the sales actions with his local experience with the Clients.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

Essential Criteria

• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent French and English
• Excellent customer liaison and relationship developing skills.
• Good negotiation skills
• Self-motivation & Good time management skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Engineering degree or equivalent experience
• Good knowledge of Caterpillar and O&K/Bucyrus product.
  • Service and parts offering specifically
• Working knowledge of Caterpillar’s Information systems.
  • Ability to operate and interpret SIS, Parts store, CRM and dealer softwares.
• B-class divers license
• Flexibility and willingness to relocate
• 5 to 10+ years of experience in Service or Parts operations

Preferred Criteria

• Parts and service experience background
• Africa experience background
• Should also have completed the CAT Parts Pro programme.
• Completion of  level 1, 2 &3 of Parts & Service Sales Rep Salesman SEP Machine Application basics
• Undercarriage A+B & CTS
• Hydraulics A +B & Powertrain components & SIS (web)
