FIFO from Brisbane or Cairns on a 16/12 roster with the operation being based in PNG.
Position Details
As the Mining Production Superintendent you will be responsible for achieving production targets whilst meeting safety, quality and cost objectives. You will work collaboratively with engineering and maintenance department to optimise the operation of the mining fleet and will monitor and report on production statistics. Your strong leadership skills will be called upon to develop the skills of the largely national workforce.
These roles require only top tier Mining Superintendents with proven backgrounds within large scale truck / shovel operations. Your skills, qualifications and experience should include the following:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the capacity of Mining Superintendent in a large scale, open cut mine
- Strong technical understanding of open cut mining (Mining Engineering degree desired)
- Be recognised as a strong leader with effective communication and interpersonal skills
- A strong desire to impart your expert knowledge and experience
- Demonstrated experience of working with nationals
