Williams Mining are proud to be engaged by one of the world’s leading copper mining companies for the search for a Mine Manager position which will be based in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The Person:

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
• Minimum 10 Years’ Experience within mining management
• Experience and exposure within copper sulfate
• Excellent experience within open cast mining
• Short Term Planning experience and knowledge
• Experience with management of mining contractors
• From a Mining Engineer background
• Proven ability to manage, motivate and influence employees

The Role:

• Responsible for the efficient running of a Copper mine based in DRC
• Manage the mining and processing operations to achieve maximum productivity
• Key Role mentoring and development of staff and ongoing improvement of the mine
• Ensure Health & Safety, environmental and legal procedures meet company regulation standards

Working Conditions:

The FIFO offered will be 9/3 with competitive site facilities.

This opportunity requires an experienced Mine Manager who has worked in the mining sector in Africa and has experience managing a mine site within Copper.

Compensation

$145,000 – $200,000 + Bonus
