Canadian Base Metals mining company is in search for an Operations Superintendent.
As the Operations Superintendent, you will be responsible for managing all facets of the mining operations to achieve company production targets. Duties include Ensure the safety of the mine staff and capital assets; Manage facets of the mining operations to achieve company production targets; Support and oversee operating costs and achieve corporate environmental and safety goals; Develop strategic operational plans, annual operating and capital budgets; Support the management of regulatory and local community issues as they relate to the site operations; Supervise all operation related activities in both Open Pit and Underground Mines; Provide overall direction for design and execution of the mine plan.
The ideal candidate 15 years in the mining industry in a directly work related position, including a minimum of 3 years at the supervisor level and 3 years in a middle management role Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering, Geology or Geological Engineering or related field, with preference given to those with a hard-rock background. This position involves working at a remote worksite on a two week in two week out rotation schedule.
