Principal Mining Engineer - Underground (Engineering)

Reports to 
Mining Manager

Specialist skills required
· Extensive experience in underground mining and strong capability in mine planning and operations.

· Demonstrated ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders including senior management, technical professionals and operational personnel.

· Solid experience in the areas of project management and feasibility studies.

· Experience in the area of due diligence would be well regarded.

· Knowledge of mining software but not necessarily a ‘hands-on’ user.

· Strong technical, leadership and problem solving skills.

· Good interpersonal, communication and report writing skills.

Qualifications required

· A degree in Mining Engineering and 15 years experience relevant to the responsibilities listed above.

· People with less experience may apply and be considered for a Mining Engineer or Senior Mining Engineer role as applicable.

· Registration as a P. Eng. in B.C. or be eligible to apply for Registration.
