Principal Resource Estimation Geologist

We are seeking a Principal Resource Estimation Geologist for our Vancouver, BC office.
The successful candidate will have:
- A first degree in geology
- A minimum of 15 years of applied resource estimation experience, preferably with strong industry experience
- Strong geostatistical skills and proficiency with computerised resource estimation tools
- Sound geological understanding of ore deposits with the necessary skills to build a 3-D geological domain model. Experience with modern implicit modelling tools will be beneficial.
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary project teams, under stressful conditions
- P.Geo. registration in B.C. or the ability to obtain it
- Preferably, knowledge and experience of conditional simulation techniques
- Preferably, some prior consulting experience
The successful candidate will consult on projects for North American and International clients; requiring travel to varying environments. Assignments will include resource estimation, technical reporting and due diligence project reviews.
As a principal consultant, the successful candidate will be expected to create and maintain client relationships, work in a team environment, and provide mentorship of less experienced geologists. Strong communication skills and interpersonal capabilities are essential.
