Our client is a stable mining company with a 30+ year mining history with domestic contracts expanding into the international market. They are currently seeking an experienced Production Manager to join their team at their surface truck and shovel and dragline operation in Wyoming. In this role, you will be responsible for working with the production team to ensure goals are achieved through efficient production activities and high safety standards.
In this role, your responsibilities will involve:
- Providing strong technical oversight to mine plan and execution
- Leading Production team including performance reviews, promotions and enforcing accountabilities
- Monitoring production to ensure expectations are met on schedule
- Evaluating budget to ensure staffing and resources are efficiently utilized
- Ensuring coal quality is appropriate for the specified needs
- Enforcing a high safety standard
- Motivating the team to achieve peak performance
To be successful you will have:
- 9+ years’ experience in coal mining
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mine Engineering
- Extensive experience within a surface truck/shovel and/or dragline environment
- Demonstrated success in a leadership position
- Highly developed communication and the ability to liaise with all levels of the organization
