Metals X Limited is a diversified group exploring and developing minerals and metals in Australia.

It is an ASX listed Copper Mining and Base Metal Exploration company with a large landholding 350km south of Port Hedland.  The company is excited of the exploration potential throughout the project area and have several programs planned.

As such the company is looking to expand its exploration team and are currently seeking a Project Exploration Geologist to join our growing geology team.

Reporting to the Senior Exploration Geologist, you will be a key driver of near mine and regional exploration around the Nifty and Maroochydore Projects focusing on highly prospective base metals targets.

Key accountabilities will include:

• Plan, manage and execute exploration activities with a focus on strong fundamentals
• Conducting all work in a safe and efficient manner whilst working within the company's safety policy and procedures
• Data management including compilation and interpretation
• Management of drilling and other specialist contractors and consultants
• Reconnaissance exploration and geological mapping

The ideal candidate:

• Tertiary Qualification in Geology
• Over 5 years' experience in a field based role. Remote experience will be an asset
• Solid understanding of exploration techniques and methodologies including a strong understanding of geophysics
• Experience in leading / managing an exploration team in a greenfield and brownfield exploration environment
• Proficient in the use of geological software packages including Micromine,, MapInfo and Surpac
• National Police Clearance
• Unrestricted WA "C" class manual drivers licence
