A European Mining Company is looking for a Project Manager to develop, construct and open a new tungsten project in the Iberian Peninsula. The operation will consist of a small open pit and gravity processing plant for a scheelite mineral deposit. The role will involve all aspects of taking this project forward including achieving safe, efficient and timely construction and subsequent start-up and production activities in accordance with company budgets and timelines, ensuring timely achievement of all project operating goals, preparation and presentation of detailed work programs, identification and procuring of consultants, contractors and service providers suitable for the provision of all infrastructure, mining, environmental and other final construction designs including supervision and direction of same. The ideal candidate will have a relevant Degree from a recognised University, Membership of a recognised Professional Society, 15 - 20 years relevant post graduate industry experience, experience in precious and preferably speciality metal mining and processing operations at senior management levels, Project construction and commissioning experience plus experience in operating under European Environmental Laws, with proven ability to operate in environmentally sensitive areas an advantage.
