Summary: Our client is a small but growing private concern with about 50 employees. The principals are looking for an individual to assist them with the advancement of their interests. The successful individual leading and participating in this effort will be rewarded appropriately.

The Quarry Operations Manager will direct mining, production/shipping, and maintenance activities in a safe and productive manner in order to achieve production goals.

They will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

• Managing crews responsible for mining, production, shipping, and maintenance.
• Ensuring compliance with MSHA regulations for safety and health.
• Managing schedules and staffing, and safety program.
• Maintaining profitability by monitoring costs and implementing cost reduction programs where appropriate.

In addition to production related duties, the successful candidate will also be responsible for pursuing additional markets and products that the company is currently considering.

Qualifications/Experience etc:

• BS in Engineering, preferably in mining or a minerals-related discipline or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in mining or related industry
• Frontline supervisory experience in mining operations.
• Broad knowledge of surface mining activities, mobile equipment, beneficiation and process equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are also essential along with computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Solid understanding of MSHA and other statutory regulations.
• Experience in mine planning, maintenance, and quality control would be a plus.
• Be eligible to work in the USA without sponsorship

Compensation: Market Priced – Highly Competitive DOE
