Resource Geologist - Modelling and Estimations (Geology & Exploration)

One of Queensland’s major coal operators is now offering a great opportunity for a Resource Geologist for their Brisbane office. Due to continual growth and adaptability to the current market, they now require a Resource Geologist to join their existing team for a contract position. An initial contract for an early July start is on offer, going through until December with possible opportunity to extend, dependent upon business needs.

You will have already had success in a similar role, and have substantial experience in exploration, open cut and underground mine geology and geo statistics. This challenging role will have you responsible for geological data, resource models and estimates, geological evaluation for exploration, mine planning and project development. You will be reporting to the Manager Resource Geology Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical support to operations, resource modelling and estimates, geological evaluations, and resource risk analysis and asset planning.

To be successful in this role you will be a certified Resource Geologist with extensive modeling and estimation experience. Along with data experience, preferably arcGIS, and experience using Vulcan, Geobank and GBIZ. Your outstanding leadership and effective communication skills will be vital in your success within this role, as you will be required to clearly communicate the resource risk to the business.
