The Resource Manager plays a pivotal role in the resource process involving large exploration programs for multiple deposits. Reporting to the Vice President, Geology and Exploration, this role is responsible for producing and updating mineral resource estimations used for underground and open pit design and optimization, reserve calculations and long-term mine planning. This role requires 20-30% of international business travel.

Key Areas of Responsibility & Duties:
Deposit Modeling:
• Validate interpretative and analytical data as received.
• Assist with and verify models and interpretations built by the other geologists or technicians at the mine sites.
• Update or create 3D models of all mineralized zones if required.
• Extensive QA/QC monitoring to ensure data and interpretations are accurate.

Resources and Reserves:
• Manage all information related to the resource, ensuring assays, composites, densities, and related information are accurate and validated.
• Monitors regulatory compliance with respect to mineral resource and mineral reserve estimates.
• Review data integrity and quality during each drilling phase or program and ensure effective communication is maintained with all relevant team members.
• Produce and validate block models for materials, grades, and other parameters as required.
• Collaborate with Mine Engineering, Mine Geology, and Environment to coordinate all aspects of the geological resource and reserve processes pertaining to all aspects of the operations.
• Recommend updates or changes to the resource modeling processes to improve quality and efficiency and ensure any modifications are consistently implemented and documented.

Training and Mentoring:
• Proactively participate in the training, development, and mentoring of geologists and technicians across the organization.
• Assist, mentor, or lead geologists and technicians in completing their various tasks and assignments as required.

Special Projects in Exploration and Production and general support to corporate team:
• Participate in the due diligence studies.
• Advise the Vice President, Geology and Exploration of the quality of potential new acquisitions.
• Lead and/or participate in multiple geological projects in mine production, grassroots and advanced exploration projects.
• Provide resource geology support for geology technicians, geologists, Mine Engineering, and Mine Operations at the mine/exploration sites.

Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
• Bachelor or Masters in Geology
• Registered (or ability to obtain registration) with an appropriate professional organization
• Minimum 15 years of experience in Exploration or Operations, including at least 5 years in resource modeling
• Advanced knowledge of Gemcom or other similar software, in particular the 3D modeling and resource calculation aspects
• Strong 3D interpretation and geostatistical modeling skills
• Strong skills in MS Office, Database (MS-SQL and Access), and map making software applications
• Detail-oriented and able to follow and maintain accurate, detailed documentation policies
• Innovative with a high drive for results
• Previous relevant international experience an asset
• Ability to speak Spanish is considered an asset

Compensation

Salary: $100,000 and above. Competitive compensation and an attractive benefits package will be provided.
