Safety Advisor - Mining (Health, Safety & Training)

We are seeking an experienced Safety Advisor for a mining project in the Goldfields region. The role will be offered on a 7/7 FIFO from Perth only.

Key Accountabilities:

• Facilitate and/or participate to provide support for risk assessments, incident investigations, health and safety monitoring, reporting and data analysis for the site
• Review JSAs and determine requirements for conversion into Training Packages or Procedures
• Support and coach all workers in the application of Health, Safety, Training and Emergency Response systems and procedures across site
• Assist with the Mine induction program
• Carry out safety inspections, workplace inspections, task observations, JSA reviews and audits to ensure compliance throughout the surface and underground operations to meet weekly targets
• Any other tasks as required by the Project Manager

Requirements:

• Certificate IV WHS (or higher)
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a health and safety role within the mining industry
• Carry out the Risk Management Process (RIIRIS402A)
• Previous earthmoving / mining experience
• Competent in Microsoft Office suite
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Able to organise work and manage time effectively
• Able to keep clear and accurate records and reports
• High level of confidentiality
• Current Driver's Licence
• Available immediately.
