Title:  Sales Manager – North America
Location:  Preferred: Tucson – relocation is available
Compensation:  USD 90 – 100K, plus commission
Relocation:  Preference will be given for local North  American Candidates
Travel:  60+% travel


Our client is an international leader in the mining technology services arena and is in a strong growth position. They are seeking a Sales Manager for North America with proven business development and sales experience to provide sales leadership to the company. In this role you will be required to report directly to the General Manager, America Operations.

The key objective of this position is to develop, grow and lead the Company’s profile and sales in the North American Market

The Sales Manager – North America will be focused on developing, planning and implementing sales opportunities in the Mining Services industry. Also this position will identify opportunities for growth and be involved in the business development strategy for North America.

The position also requires the execution of other specific activities such as:

  • Compliance with all Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • Develop, plan and forecast the pipeline of sales for the US market and other responsible markets.
  • Provide sales and commercial leadership in the US and other responsible markets including analysis of sales opportunities and generation of revenue through sales closure.
  • Develop and sustain productive relationships and strategic alliances with key customers, potential customers and appropriate decision makers in these organizations.
  • Develop and maintain a good understanding of the procurement processes of key customers and potential customers.
  • Effectively implement authorized pricing strategies and commercial arrangements.
  • Effectively implement authorized tender and contract management processes.
  • Effectively manage contracts with existing customers.
  • Successful contract negotiation and closure.

Skills and Experience:

  • Ideally the candidate will hold a Bachelors Degree in mining related field or Business Administration.
  • At least 5 years commercial experience in the mining industry
  • Experience with large capital equipment and solution selling.
  • A record of success in sales management in the mining, engineering or technology sectors.
  • Understanding of the mining business in North America is also desirable.
  • High level of reporting /communication skills are required as well as an outgoing nature and desire to learn while confronting challenges.
