Senior Advisor - Health, Safety, Environment, Training and Systems (Health, Safety & Training)

Now Hiring a Senior Advisor of Health, Safety, Environment, Training and Systems located in our head office in Regina, SK 

This position will report into our Director of Health, Safety Environment and Training and will be responsible for the development and implementation of all Health, Safety, Environment & Training systems and processes.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for the implementation of training standards required by all AMC employees (eg: CPR, Rigging, Fire Training, Fall Arrest, mine equipment etc.).
  • Ensure consistency in AMC training by developing and implementing a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Perform in-house training as required (ie:  Train-The-Trainer).
  • Develop and implement health, safety and environmental systems and processes;
  • o ISO 9001, 14001 
  • o OHSAS 18001 
  • Support the roll out of our AMC guiding principles and values.


Requirements:

  • Minimum 5-7  years mining or heavy industry project/operational experience in a Health & Safety Advisor/Trainer capacity.
  • Knowledge of legislative regulations, policies and codes as they apply to the mining and construction industry in Canada
  • Strong administrative and system development skills are required.
  • Certificate, diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety Accreditation as an OH&S professional (i.e. CRSP) would be considered an asset
  • Self directed with solid organizational and verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere
  • ISO 9001, 14001 or Oshas 18001 implementation experience would be considered an asset


Additional Information:
The regular hours for this position are Monday  Friday (8:00am  4:30pm). 

This position will be expected to travel to project sites regularity and will be required to work outside the regular hours to meet organization requirements.
