About the role:
One of our internationally recognized consulting clients has recently expressed interest in adding a Senior Mine Engineering Consultant to their Vancouver based team. A firm that prides itself on teamwork this position offers a chance for grow your career in a positive and relaxed environment.

Based in Vancouver the Senior Mine Engineer will provide technical and project leadership. mine planning and engineering design as a client representative to various multidisciplinary projects site operations both locally and internationally. Responsibilities will include mentoring junior engineers and assisting in the development and growth of the internal and client teams as well as project management duties for current and future projects.

Day-to-day activities will include providing technical support to and leading multidisciplinary teams at all levels of current project work, consulting on mine design, scheduling and cost estimation for current clients in addition to mine optimization and coordinating and communicating with clients with regards to project requirements, preparing and reviewing project proposals, and mentoring younger staff.

A successful candidate will require 10 (or more) years of experience in mine engineering and be registered (or eligible for registration) with the APEGBC organization. Additionally, knowledge open pit mine planning, softrock mining, scheduling and dewatering would be an asset. Relocation could be provided and travel would be required to site operations but will also include an uplift based on salary when travel is required.

Compensation

$105,000-$125,000 annually
