We are currently seeking a Senior Generative Geologist to join our exploration team in Romania.Reporting to the Country Exploration Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and developing projects of interest to Eldorado in Romania and neighbouring jurisdictions, leading, mentoring and developing a strong generative team, and assisting in the management and coordination of technical programs conducted on early stage and generative projects.Specific job responsibilities include:

• Assisting the Country Exploration Manager on developing a pipeline of projects and developing a long term generative strategy
• Integrating regional geological data, metallogenic and historical mining and exploration data, and current understandings of ore deposit genesis to define regional areas of interest for more detailed targeting activities
• Coordinating regional exploration and generative efforts in collaboration with the exploration team, with emphasis on leadership with mentoring abilities
• Supervising grass-roots and target delineation programs and implementing technical requirements and work protocols
• Competitor monitoring within Romania and the surrounding jurisdictions
• Collaborating with and providing support to consultants and external advisors
• Reporting of results and recommendations to the Country Exploration Manager and Senior Technical Management.

Ideally, you will have:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Geoscience/Engineering with a Professional Geologist designation or equivalent
• 10+ years of experience in gold exploration, with a range of experience on different deposit types
• Previous experience with international companies is an asset
• Good knowledge and experience of project generation and early stage exploration techniques
• An understanding of geological models and concepts, and experience with interpreting geochemical and geophysical data
• Strong field skills and a willingness to spend a significant amount of time in remote areas
• Proficiency with mineral industry/ exploration  geologic software
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to make recommendations to Senior Management and work collaboratively in a multicultural team environment. Romanian language knowledge is an advantage

This position will be based at our exploration office near Deva, Hunedoara County. Preference will be given to Romanian Citizens.  An EU work authorization is required.
