Reporting to the Exploration Manager the successful candidate will be a degree qualified Senior Mine Geologist with a minimum of 3-5 years Open Pit experience.

Key attributes, requirements and duties for this role will include but are not limited to:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Geology with a minimum 5 years mining experience within an Open Pit Mine;
• Detailed experience in Copper / Gold oxide deposits or near surface open pit base/precious metal deposits
• Collation of geological data and reports to assist with daily mine geological services
• Detailed knowledge of open pit mine production and grade control processes
• Strong understanding of pit design;
• Managing field activities including logging and all aspects of data management;
• Controlling ore quality by assisting minimisation of dilution and ore loss, whilst continually improving grade control systems;
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and proven ability to work; autonomously and within the team;
• End of month and regular QAQC reporting;
• Work closely with Mining team in particular the Mine Engineers;
• Current AusIMM membership;
• Ability to ensure all geological work is completed safely and in compliance with site procedures; and
• Proficiency in the use of Mining software specifically Surpac and Datashed.
