Job Overview
A mining company in the Middle East has an opening for a Senior Mine Geologist to work on a major new open pit gold mine.
Qualifications & Skills
Candidates should have a degree in Geology and 5 - 7 years of industry experience including at least 2 years working on open pit operations. Candidates must be fluent in English and be good communicators.
Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be responsible for controlling the extraction of all material from the open pit, especially the supply of ore to the heap leach pads, making sure that both grade and tonnage are sufficient to meet mine targets.
In addition, the Senior Geologist will aid in the geological exploration both in the open pit and surrounding areas to increase the ore reserves on the property and hence life of mine.
Compensation
The position is offered on a single status basis and comes with good tax-free salary package and bonuses.
